Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They keep you signed in, remember preferences, and help us measure traffic. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) work the same way for the purposes of this policy.

2. Cookie categories we use

We group cookies into four categories. You can manage them at any time.

  • Essential — always on. Required to deliver the Platform: keep you signed in, remember your shopping basket and consent choices, protect against cross-site request forgery, rate-limit abuse. The Platform cannot function without these.
  • Analytics — off by default. Help us understand how people use the Platform so we can improve it. We use Plausible (cookie-free where possible) and, when enabled by an admin, Google Analytics.
  • Marketing — off by default. Help us measure marketing campaigns and re-engage users (e.g. waitlist updates).
  • Preferences — off by default. Remember non-essential choices (theme, language, recently-viewed listings).

3. Your choices

You can accept all, reject non-essential, or set each category independently. Your choice is stored on your device (and, if you’re signed in, on your account so it follows you). You can change it any time:

Browser-level controls also work — clearing cookies will reset your preferences and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

4. Third-party cookies

Some pages embed third-party content (Paystack checkout, Mapbox tiles, Plausible analytics, optional Google Analytics). Those providers may set their own cookies, governed by their own policies.

5. Do Not Track

Most browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) signal. We honour it for the Analytics and Marketing categories: if DNT is set we treat the Analytics and Marketing categories as denied unless you explicitly opt in.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent change. Material changes will re-trigger the consent banner.
